Snellen Eye Chart – Illiterate / Directional

A directional visual acuity chart designed for patients who may be unable to read or recognise standard alphabet letters. Instead of conventional letters, the chart uses the Tumbling E optotype, displayed in different orientations. The patient identifies or indicates the direction in which the open side of the “E” is facing.

This makes it particularly useful for young children, patients with literacy or language barriers, and general vision-screening applications.
